Mike Fendrick

Executive Director, Finance 

Mike brings nearly 25 years of experience with the company, most recently serving as Finance Director in South Korea. Prior to that, he held roles at Merck & Co. supporting Human Health, Merck Research Laboratories, and Business Development.  Mike is deeply committed to the company’s mission to improve the health and well-being of people around the world. He is passionate about the company’s core values—putting patients first, respecting people, upholding integrity, and prioritizing scientific innovation. Rather than seeing himself solely as a finance professional, Mike views his role as that of a commercial leader, dedicated to staying close to the business and the patients and customers the company serves.  With a genuine curiosity about cultural differences, Mike believes in connecting through universal human emotions such as trust, pride, and inspiration which transcend borders and foster meaningful collaboration.  Outside of work, Mike enjoys staying active through hiking and skiing, and is a passionate advocate for pet adoption.  As Finance Director, Mike currently oversees all financial functions of Merck Canada, including FP&A, accounting, tax, and treasury.
