Julie is a passionate communications leader and strategist, proudly serving dual roles at Merck Canada as Director of Communications and Chief of Staff. In her role as Director of Communications, Julie leads a team of dedicated professionals committed to elevate awareness of the Merck Canada brand and its vital mission to help save and improve lives, by highlighting the company’s scientific innovation, talented people, and meaningful impact. As Chief of Staff to the Managing Director, Julie collaborates closely with the leadership team to drive strategic priorities and ensure focus on what truly matters for the organization’s success. Julie’s strong academic background in history—holding a B.A. and PhD from Concordia University and a Master’s from UQAM—infuses her corporate communications work with a deep passion for storytelling. With over a decade of experience, she has led impactful research and communication projects, large-scale industry events and brand development initiatives across the financial services, transportation, cultural and non-profit sectors.
